Exploring Our Core Values: Connection
Introduction
At The Ravens Collective, connection isn’t just a word—it’s one of our core values, shaping everything we do. In a world that often feels isolating, we believe that true transformation happens when we are in connection with one another, rooted in a gospel-centered community. But what does it really mean to be connected? And why is community so important to our faith journey?
Connection is about more than just being part of a group. It’s about intentionally building relationships where people feel seen, heard, and valued. In our ministry, connection means leaving no one behind and creating a space where everyone, especially those who feel like outcasts, can belong.
We prioritize community because we believe it's essential for spiritual growth. Connection fosters accountability, encouragement, and a sense of purpose as we walk alongside one another in our journeys with Jesus.
God’s View on Community
The Bible emphasizes the importance of community and connection in several key passages. You could say that community is important to God. From the early church described in Acts 2:42-47 to Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:20, we see a clear call to gather, share, and support one another.
Acts 2:42-47 (NIV): "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer... All the believers were together and had everything in common."
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV): "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV): "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up."
These verses remind us that God calls us to be in community—not just for ourselves but for others. We are made to encourage each other, to be there for one another, and to experience the fullness of God’s love in relationships.
How We Prioritize Community At The Raven Collective
At The Ravens Collective, we believe that connection leads to transformation. Our goal is to create a space where people can encounter grace, experience transformation, and find a deep sense of belonging.
We do this through online discipleship, group conversations, and fostering authentic relationships. We invite you to not only engage with our community but also to reach out and connect with those around you. Together, we can become the hands and feet of Jesus in a world that desperately needs connection and authenticity.
